The fact is that the Biden Presidency has been a monumental failure and this is how history is going to judge it. Marked as a time when the Left of the party were allowed to gain control of it and run checked with ludcrous insane policies which went against almost everything Biden said on the campaign trail which wasn’t much because the party kept him hidden.
We now have a state of affairs where the Biden administration has burned through $4 trillion of borrowing in just two years, $3 Trillion in the first year $1 trillion plus in the second year with no sign of slowing down. Now the US has hit the debt ceiling and has moved so called ‘extraordinary measures’ which involve deferring spending on some issues until a compromise is reached.
This time the problems are different Biden is saying he won’t even negotiate with the house and he wants a no strings attached complete removal of the debt ceiling altogether so he can take his wasteful squandering to a whole new level without limit. On the other hand you have Senators like Andy Briggs saying enough is enough and the debt is unsustainable, $4 trillion borrowing is more than enough for any term and Biden needs to live within his means, and he is not prepared to lift the debt ceiling at all even if it means the US defaulting on its debts.
Here Briggs holds all the aces, if no agreement is reached he acheives his objective of not raising the debt ceiling. If on the other hand McCarthy tries to do so Briggs can simply oust him as speaker, because as a condition of the 6 dissenting representatives voting for McCarthy it was agreed that any single one of them could remove the speaker just by withdrawing their support.
That is why this time it’s so very different, and why the usual brinksmanship of taking time to reach some kind of agreement might well push the US into default status, and it would only take one senator prepared to teach the legislature a hard lesson to cause that to happen.

Fed, it is generally accepted in US politics that the President will not normally be challenged if he (or she – hasn’t happened – yet) wishes to run for a second term in office. I watched the amusing Tucker but sad clip posted in this Thread by tomo and it does seem like ‘they’ want to elbow ‘Beijing Biden’ aside. The President’s wife, Jill Biden, did not want her husband to run for Party nomination in the first place because she feared for the impact it would have on his health. It is a pressured job.
I suspect that ‘China Joe’ (he’s kinda fragile) is being moved aside to give Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez and maybe Kamala Harris freedom to seek the Democratic Party nomination.

Trying to discuss this on the Leftie forum is an impossible task as they are incapable of doing anything other than ad hominems and saying how bad Trump was, when challenged to name a success of the Biden administration they have been unable to name a single one, again returning to attack Trump whenever asked for any kind of positive comment.

TOADY Watch #2 – now ‘they’ are out to get Rishi
The LeftMob in the MSM are going to run with this “Rishi Sunak didn’t wear a seat belt!” thing for days. It will be interesting to watch how long it it lasts before it becomes stale news. My advice to Conservative Party MPs is stay away from Twitter, steer clear of Facebook and keep your phone in a pocket or bag for a real emergency.
My gripe with Rishi is not that he doesn’t wear a seatbelt (who cares), but sticking rigidly to that “Indian” hairstyle ! look at any Indian man in any documentary (turban wearers aside), and they all have the same haircut ! parting to one side and a mass of top hair. Try a George Clooney Rishi ! and watch your popularity rise. lol !

That became £4000 cos of the government cap
Turned put the Smart Meter had an error so was billing him masses for gas at night. even though he used very little
Now they paid him back
The meter sent BG his day time use
but at night time instead of sending the night rate consumption it send zero
So their system then estimated night time consumption at a massive rate
giving him £8,000 per month bills

The Vision of the Anointed (1995) is a book by economist and political columnist Thomas Sowell which brands the anointed as promoters of a worldview concocted out of fantasy impervious to any real-world considerations.[1] Sowell asserts that these thinkers, writers, and activists continue to be revered even in the face of evidence disproving their positions.
Sowell argues that American thought is dominated by a “prevailing vision” which seals itself off from any empirical evidence that is inconsistent with that vision.
The book challenges people Sowell refers to as “Teflon prophets,” who predict that there will be future social, economic, or environmental problems in the absence of government intervention (Ralph Nader is one of his foremost examples).
The book was initially published in 1995 by Basic Books.[2] It was described as a “masterpiece” by Nick Cater.[3]

Has the BBC ever lied to me …. YES.
“Gavin Hewitt in 2015 replacing video with still photos to hide a nasty refugee pushing a pregnant female refugee and small child onto a train track, the BBC made it look like the border guards were being tough.”
Has the BBC ever hidden news from me …. YES.
“May 2018 the Day of Freedom march was not reported on the main website or the main news channel and is not available on the BBC £3.5bn online search page – other news agencies including the Guardian reported it.”
Has the BBC kept the public in the dark …. YES.
“We know that the UK MP expenses continues and should be investigated with the £3.5bn BBC New Service every year to keep the MPs on their toes, David Lammy bought a bike for £650 on expenses (Claim Ref:387540/17oct2014) which is blatant misuse of Tax Payer Money. How come the BBC don’t check up each year?”
Has the BBC ignored politician’s lies …. YES.
“UK Politicians are on TV shouting austerity and recession but all have taken an 18% pay increase from 2010 to 2018. How can they talk for the people when the live in their own bubble?”
Has the BBC moved from news to social engineering …. YES.
“By 2020, the BBC wants its employees to comprise 50% women, 8% disabled people, 8% lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender people and 15% people from black, Asian and ethnic minority backgrounds.{bbc.co.uk 14sep2017}”
Has the BBC let journalist break their guidelines …. YES.
“Gary ‘£1.75m’ Lineker uses his twitter account to say Brexit is bad, EU is good. But not once has he confronted Jacob Rees-Mogg or Nigel Farage to talk about it. It is a one sided echo chamber.”

Richard Vobes interviews Richard Tice.
In my book, you cannot assert ‘Climate Change’ is happening without clarifying your position on the matter. Are you one following the religion, blindly i.e. in, ‘The End of The World’ camp or, do you believe that the climate is changing and has been for millions of years – what goes up, comes down sooner or later.
Richard Tice did not identify with any camp and, in my book, is therefore suspect on that subject.
If anyone interprets his assertions otherwise, please let me know.

US judge fines Donald Trump nearly $1m for Clinton lawsuit

So I went ot this article to find out why. And to my complete amazement (well, maybe not because it’s the BBC) it doesn’t tell me anything at all about why the case was rejected and Trump fined by this Democrat Judge.
Anybody know the reason ?. The article clearly wants me to think the claims are false but as it doesn’t go anywhere near telling me, I presume they aren’t.

Mr Mueller did not determine that Mr Trump or his campaign had colluded with Russia, but the special counsel said his report did not exonerate the president of obstruction of justice.
not determine = wasted money

Indeed – I saw that and wondered if the fact that the report ‘did not determine he had colluded with Russia’ was the reason it was all dismissed.
But that’s bizarre because it was never going to do that : the whole point was to sabotage Trumps chances during the election.
Then ‘but the special counsel said his report did not exonerate the president of obstruction of justice’ is absolutely irrelevant for this story and is clearly added to make you think he is guilty of something. And if the charges were totally fake – as we now know they were – obstructing someone trying to fake them is understandable.
There is a big piece missing from this pie – and when you see that on the BBC, it is usually a deliberate lie by omission.

more than anything, I like to believe I’m a matchmaker of sorts for minority journalists. I have made it my mandate to identify, nurture and place BIPOC and LGBTQ writers and reporter in newsrooms across America.
Most recently, I was the Head of Digital Journalism at the BBC, recruited to lead its editorial strategy as it seeks to aggressively expand in the North American market. My remit was to not just overhaul the kinds of pieces the BBC produces but also the platforms to showcase them – from newsletters, to social, to video, to a website and app. In the short time I was there, the North American traffic grew each month.
At NPR, I combined four disparate teams into one, grew it to the largest – and most diverse unit – in the organization, and rethought the way we create and curate content across site, social, streaming platforms and smart speakers.
Before I joined NPR in 2021, I led CNN’s content diversity initiative, birthed the top two newsletters in CNN’s portfolio: 5 Things and The Good Stuff, and won an Emmy for Best Interactive Media.

Just had a look and it’s actually 500ml (from Morrisons) and not the whole litre.
It’s the smallest size container and the price has doubled.
They probably did sell in pints but dropped the quantity to 500ml (instead of 568ml = 1 pint) hoping to fool people with a similar looking container but holding less.
A common marketing trick.

Prices are not dependent on costs so much
Supermarkets often charge what they can
but sometimes loss lead
so you come in to save 15p on milk and then spend £60 on other stuff.
I can time so I can buy milk at less than half price.

Pretty much along the lines of what I’ve been saying for a long time now.
We are being subjected to WW2 levels of propaganda. And it works : you go onto any HYS on the BBC about the war and look at the responses to anyone who dare question the narrative that the BBC push. It’s hate comparable to what the Nazis whipped up against the Jews.
It shows to me that the human race has not evolved whatsoever.
We would do exactly the same again – and it looks like we might.
