The BBC is happy – its’ new government loves it – the state broadcaster will be an even better propaganda outlet for it . We could play a game – when will anyone at the BBC criticise its’ Far Left Daddy ?

My concern about the attack on the Children’s Hospital in Ukraine is that there are three likely scenarios. Given the accuracy of missile these days it was a deliberate attack. But why would Putin do that, what would he gain besides opprobrium? Or it was a missile going astray in which case it was an accident, a casualty of war. Or it was damage caused by a surface-to-air defensive missile fired by the Ukrainians themselves. What goes up must come down (see Hamas hospital “attack”). Maybe Marianna could verify this?

Remember that Ukraine are billeting soldiers and storing equipment everywhere but in military bases now. The recent supermarket hit on a ‘busy’ afternoon with so few killed lends credance to what I saw about it being used as storage for equipment.

I’m sure the Russians would not target a hospital on purpose just to kill the sick – but I’m equally sure that if it had a valid enough target in there (or near there), they would not care too much about collateral damage.

This is a dirty war on both sides. The BBC coverage is so steeped in their usual desire for ’empathy’ for ‘victims’ and nothing else, it tells us virtually nothing about what is actually going on. They don’t care one bit how many brave young men are simply being blown to pieces. But put an injured one on a running track with a metal leg and they will be all over it.

Tribes: A Search for Belonging in a Divided Society Hardcover – 5 Mar. 2020

    by David Lammy (Author)
    4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars 249 ratings
    See all formats and editions
‘Thoughtful’ Guardian Best Politics Books of 2020

‘A superb book about the tribalism gripping British politics. Tribes is measured, searching, pitilessly self-scrutinising and would probably amaze anyone who knows its author only from his Twitter persona’ Decca Aitkenhead, Sunday Times

David was the first black Briton to study at Harvard Law School and practised as a barrister before entering politics. He has served as the Member of Parliament for Tottenham since 2000. Today, David is one of Parliament’s most prominent and successful campaigners for social justice. He led the campaign for Windrush British citizens to be granted British citizenship and has been at the forefront of the fight for justice for the families affected by the Grenfell Tower fire.

In 2007, inspired by the bicentenary of the Abolition of the Slave Trade Act and looking to explore his own African roots, David Lammy took a
    DNA test.
Ostensibly he was a middle-aged husband & father,
MP for Tottenham and a die-hard Spurs fan.
But his nucleic acids revealed that he was
    25% Tuareg tribe (Niger),
    25% Temne tribe (Sierra Leone),
    25% Bantu tribe (South Africa),
with 5% traces of Celtic Scotland and a mishmash of other unidentified groups.

Both memoir and call-to-arms, Tribes explores both the benign and malign effects of our need to belong. How this need – genetically programmed and socially acquired – can manifest itself in positive ways, collaboratively achieving great things that individuals alone cannot. And yet how, in recent years, globalisation and digitisation have led to new, more pernicious kinds of tribalism. This book is a fascinating and perceptive analysis of not only the way the world works but also the way we really are.

    25% Tuareg tribe (Niger),

“Russian troops have been deployed to an airbase in Niger where American soldiers are located, US officials say. The move comes after Niger’s military rulers ordered the US to withdraw troops who had been countering Islamic insurgents in the region.3 May 2024”
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-68949809

    25% Temne tribe (Sierra Leone),

“‘People are addicted to escape’: psychoactive drug crisis hits Sierra Leone. An addiction crisis is gripping Sierra Leone, one of the world’s poorest nations, driven by a surge in use of “kush”, a toxic blend of psychoactive substances.”

    25% Bantu tribe (South Africa),

“Britain needs change: few can doubt that. Our national finances are mired in massive debt.
Millions are living the misery of unemployment. Communities are shattered by crime and abuse.
People in the public services are trapped in a web of rules and regulations. People have lost faith
that politics can fix our problems, or that politicians can lead us into a better future. There is a
feeling of helplessness. Once again, there is a mood afoot that the decline of Britain is inevitable.
But there is no law that says we must accept decline. We have the energy, the ideas and the
ambition to get Britain back on track. And that includes everyone in Britain, wherever they live
and whatever their circumstances. If we join together, if we act decisively, and move forward with
optimism, we can start to fix the economic, social and political problems that threaten the nation.
We can bring about the change Britain needs.”

This manifesto is the most important stage so far on a journey that began four and a half years
ago, when the Conservative Party itself voted for change by electing David Cameron as its leader.
Since then, the Party has remoulded itself for the modern era, applying its deepest values and
beliefs to the urgent problems of the hour

    2010 .. HA H AH AHAH

Immigration has enriched our nation over the
years and we want to attract the brightest and
the best people who can make a real difference
to our economic growth. But immigration
today is too high and needs to be reduced

    Isn’t it amazing?

We’ve just come out of 6 weeks of GE campaigning and it turns out the major issue, according to Toady, was ……wait for it…….prison overcrowding!
Which was not mentioned by anybody at any time.

Second related issue, close to the heart of the open door BBC, is the state of Harmondsworth pre-expulsion detention centre.
This is for people who are supposedly awaiting deportation – when they are not smoking spliffs.

Guess what? A high proportion of them never get deported!!!! Yes, we don’t even deport people who are supposed to be deported. Presumably a comma was in the wrong place on a page of A4 , which violates their Yuman Rights, so they are immediately granted citizenship. The Home Office at its finest.

And apparently the ‘inmates’ shouldn’t even be there. It is not a prison you see. They should be allowed out. Yeah, like as if should their deportation be finally approved, they will obligingly rock up voluntarily at Heathrow.

What planet are the useless nutters who rule us actually living on?

They will be allowed out. The Politburo has signed up to both the Global Compact for Migration and the Global Compact on Refugees

“The Global Compact is framed consistent with target 10.7 of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in which Member States committed to cooperate internationally to facilitate safe, orderly, and regular migration, and its scope is defined in Annex II of the New York Declaration”.
Note the use of the word regular.

“The Global Compact on Refugees is a framework for more predictable and equitable responsibility-sharing, recognizing that a sustainable solution to refugee situations cannot be achieved without international cooperation.”
I don’t recall ANY of the parties during the campaigning mentioning either of these nor Agenda 2030. Strange that.
They are targeting a net inflow of several million a year for the UK which is why Starmer will be bringing Britain back into the Союз Европейских Социалистических Республик (СЕСР) shortly. The purpose behind this ‘migration’ is of course obvious.

Tony Blair tells R4: “… people understand there are enormous benefits to immigration. And by the way, a lot of what we are talking about, these great AI innovations, look at the people leading them – many of them are immigrants into this country.”

Meanwhile the BBC report today “Immigration centre shocking and dangerous […] with drug use and violence ‘widespread'” and “detainees openly walking around smoking joints”. Blame is of course firmly on the running of the centre itself, with secondary criticism to Tory mismanagement. But nothing to do with the occupants, who no doubt were all quietly drinking tea and working on some exciting tech projects for Tony’s Institute For Global Chaos.

I swear by Almighty God that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to His Majesty King Charles, his heirs and successors, according to law. So help me God.

The Act also permits the oath to be taken in the Scottish manner. With uplifted hand but not holding the sacred text. Members may also take the oath by kissing the book and using the words:

I do swear that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to His Majesty King Charles, his heirs and successors, according to law. So help me God.

Texts of the oath and affirmation are available in Braille.

The oath/affirmation must first be made and taken in English. Members can follow this with an oath or affirmation in Welsh, Scottish Gaelic or Cornish.

Parliament today welcomes the new Government. Smarmer receives a standing ovation (from his own Party). One might have thought he’d achieved something spectacular rather than the low vote and being gifted the result by the Tories.

Speaker Hoyle re-elected which ensures Farage and Reform kept quiet.

Rishi Sunak made a nauseatingly obsequious response to Smarmer rather than attacking the cancellation of Rwanda and other Labour policies. One might get the impression that he never believed in the policies he was implementing in Government.

Stew – and there is a world of difference between ‘knowing ‘ in theory and ‘knowing in practice ‘. I knew a very nice lady who had been brought up in the eastern bloc . Her family were part of the system – party members .

She explained the practical effects of being out or ‘in’ ….

It’s becoming similar here – nod to the ‘approved view ‘ – fine – left alone . Not ‘approved ‘ the state in its various forms make life difficult – ask Nigel Farage – or fox -or carol thatcher or Tommy …. Repeated down the chain to the requirement to spout the approved view at job interviews …

Strange going on at BBCOFCOM – seems they’ve refused the BBC something –

STARTS The BBC has been blocked from launching an online Radio 2 spin-off which commercial rivals had branded “an absolute rip-off” of their stations.

Ofcom is understood to have told the corporation that the plans could have a significant adverse impact on the competition.

The BBC had hoped to launch the spin-off on BBC Sounds in the next few weeks, as streaming services are not subject to the same regulatory processes as DAB radio.

Ofcom has blocked that option, and the plan will now have to be subject to a public interest test, a process expected to take several months.

The spin-off would focus on music from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s – encroaching on the territory of stations such as Boom Radio, Greatest Hits, and Absolute.

Radio 2 has been criticised for abandoning music from those decades, and listeners have been deserting the station for commercial competitors.

Ofcom’s decision has been welcomed by rivals in the commercial sector. Phil Riley, co-founder of Boom Radio, previously described the BBC’s plans as an “absolute rip-off” of his own venture, branding it as “outrageous”.

Reacting to the decision, Mr Riley said: “We are delighted that Ofcom has directed the BBC to launch a full public interest test into the first stage of their proposed launch of a Radio 2 spin-off service which, like Boom Radio, is planning to play 60s and 70s music with familiar big radio names.

“The future of Boom Radio would be placed at serious risk by the arrival of a Radio 2 extension. It says the new station would offer ‘best-loved presenters playing oldies from the 50s, 60 and 70s’ but that is exactly what Boom has done since it was created to address Radio 2’s disenfranchised audience.

“As a small, independent business, there is little slack to withstand this threat. It could be the end of Boom. So while there is still a long way to go, we’re pleased to have succeeded in the first round of arguments.”

He added: “Our view has always been that this service, even if only delivered on BBC Sounds, represents unfair competition to our fledgling station, with huge risks to our future.

“It deserves the detailed scrutiny that only a full Public Interest Test and subsequent Ofcom BBC competition assessment can bring.

“The BBC has provided scant evidence of public value from this back-to-back music station. It is not what the BBC should be doing.”

    One per cent budget
Boom Radio operates with only one per cent of Radio 2’s budget but since 2021 has built an audience of 600,000 listeners, and employs ex-BBC presenters including Simon Bates and Judi Spiers.

It is understood that planned Radio 1 and Radio 3 spin-offs have been given the go -ahead to stream on BBC Sounds, ahead of a public interest test into proposed DAB versions.

Ofcom is expected to make an official announcement after the State Opening of Parliament next week.

An Ofcom spokesman said: “We will publish our decision in the coming days on whether the BBC’s plans require a public interest test.”

A BBC spokesman said: “We are surprised to hear commercial radio’s comments on what they understand to be Ofcom’s decision before this has been published.

“We are respectfully following the right regulatory processes in line with the Charter, Agreement and Ofcom regulation.

“This includes running a detailed public interest test for our music extensions and having an ongoing dialogue with the music industry, Ofcom and our radio industry colleagues.

“Our plans are distinctive and measured, offering more choice and value to licence fee payers and doing so in a way only the BBC can.”ENDS

Like local councils, quangos and similar, they’re using taxpayer’s money but will get nothing out of it apart from more exposure for their minor slebs crowing and squealing about this and that, their own advertising for their dire programmes and generally, zilch admiration for poor output.

Classic FM successfully proved that BBC radio 3 was being asked to copy Classic FM as it was far more successful then the BBC ever was. They tried to copy it, Classic FM complained the BBC carries on and was told to STOP by OFCOM, and finally the BC had to take notice or loose in the Courts. They backed off.

But they use the same technique to spoil any private start up. I often listen to BOOM radio, which caters for the kind of music the BBC used to play, but now despises.

BOOM radio is a great station, far better than the BBC ever was.

Why are publicly funded knobs like this bloke still unaware that we have a hundred year’s worth of natural resources within our shores, (or just off them), and we could control these for the good of Great Britain, and then we would not be reliant on any other country for all that time?

The bloke’s an idiot, but there again, what do you expect – he’s just another appointee to the climate scam, at our expense!

The taxpayers’ money wasted on all this disgrace is just eye-watering! I’m glad I won’t be around to pick up the tab when it all gets much, much worse.
