Telegraph this evening saying that Burnham will push ahead with the Chagos deal.i know (or read in a newspaper that Jonathan Powell has said he must). Why is this government determined to give away huge amounts of money to get rid of Chagos. To me, one of the main beneficiaries will be China. I muse whilst trying to get to sleep at night how cheaply a politician could be bought. I am not suggesting this has happened (care hs to be taken with the thought police), but I assume Starmer could have been bought for circa £5 million and Burnham less (pure musing not fact). It’s a bit like that Dale Vince. He gave several million to the Labour Party and received contracts worth over £100,000.

Here we go again. They have arrested another suspect for Ann Widdecombe’s murder. In South Yorkshire.

“The suspect, who is a white British national, is now in police custody,” a statement from Devon and Cornwall police says.”

“a 28-year old white British National”
= Someone with a pale complexion and a British passport or a Home Office naturalisation document.

He could be a pale Iranian or Albanian with a description like that. If he is British, wouldn’t they just say British? There would be no reason to describe a Hamish from Aberdeen or an Oliver from Guildford as a British “National”

They are also claiming her death was not a “politically motivated crime”. That’s nearly as hard to believe as the Welsh choir boy story.

Another WHITE man has been arrested for Ann Widdecombe’s murder. This bloke is in Yorkshire, so (it seems to me) unlikely to have been a random burglary gone wrong.

Just one slightly peculiar thing I heard that had my antennae twitching… The police are keen to tell us there is no suggestion of terrorism…and yet, .they were assisted by “counter-terrorism policing”.

Perhaps this is the usual procedure, I’m not sure.

Anyway, it’s going to another scorcher. I’m off to water my allotment.

Since the greens are effectively being drafted as cannon fodder for the mossies in Gorton and Denton, and they are the ones who hate all on the right :-

They appoint a useful idiot from the region, and either indoctrinate him, or threaten all things dear to him, until he races down to Widdicomes abode, and publicly carries out a summary execution. Most of the leaf-eaters are of a pale complexion, and before the police have finished he will be a far-right extremist.

Of course, this is how the bbc will report it, and what the people will fall for.

Old news dressed up as new news edition

Just to clear the air about the football – if readers hereabouts can recall the comic misadventures of Bob and Terry in that classic episode of Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads?England F… ?

Well, this match last night was a case of: England Fortunate

Oh, and oddly enough, there are no reports of Norwegian fans running amok in London late last night. Phew, who would ‘ave guessed that? Seems a thousand or so years of western civilisation has civilised the Vikings.

    To other matters…

Man arrested on suspicion of murder of Ann Widdecombe… “The suspect, who is a white British national, is now in police custody,” a statement from Devon and Cornwall Police says. (Harry Sekulich, BBC) – is this simply a repeat of the exact same headline from the day before yesterday?

    Back to sport…

    Muchova Muchness

In the tennis: [Linda] Noskova, after a remarkable show of resilience and determination, was the Wimbledon champion… against Karolina Muchova (Amy Lofthouse and Emily Salley BBC Sport journalists at Wimbledon) – turns out she brought her own silverware with her before the match had started – the nose ring was particularly un-Wimbledon of old.

The regime mouthpiece Sunday Times self-congratulates print media concerning press independence and freedom to report without fear or favour on the wealthy and influential: Lawrence lawyer sought £650,000 to drop hacking case against Daily Mail – and then plays keepy-uppy with the regime pious pile-on against Farage: Cottrell gifts to Reform were not declared – talk about old news dressed up as new news!

Police investigate £500,000 Reform donations from mother of fraudster who backed Farage. George Cottrell’s mother, Fiona, at centre of criminal inquiry (Guardian, 9 July)

Who remembers that Fawlty Towers plot where Basil spends the whole episode obsessively trying to catch a guest, Mr. Johnson, sneaking a woman into his room?

Thinking he has finally cornered his prey Basil stands guard menacingly outside the door, despite Johnson explaining the offending female presence at that moment is his elderly mother.

“Your mother? This bit of crumpet is your old mummy is she? Mother Johnson, Mother Johnson, come out, come out, wherever you are… How d’you do.. are you enjoying your stay?”

The Observer is rather keen to make the case against Asma al-Asad, wife of Bashar al-Asad: With her husband… she led a regime that murdered, tortured and disappeared more than 500,000 people… The British government has so far done nothing to bring her to justice – case for the prosecution is led by Chloe Hadjimatheou – seems she’s got history…

Chloe Hadjimatheou is a British journalist who has worked at BBC current affairs and written a series of BBC documentary articles. From April 2025 she writes for The Observer. In September 2021, the BBC admitted that a BBC Radio 4 documentary on the alleged chemical weapon Douma attack in Syria contained serious inaccuracies. The Corporation’s Executive Complaints Unit (ECU) upheld a protest from Mail on Sunday columnist Peter Hitchens following the broadcast of “Mayday: The Canister On The Bed.” Adjudicators agreed that the programme by BBC investigative journalist Chloe Hadjimatheou failed to meet the Corporation’s editorial standards for accuracy by reporting false claims. (WikiSpooks ‘is an open licensed, open source encyclopedia of deep politics established to facilitate a collective re-examination of recent history particularly focused on those official narratives which do not seem to fit the facts’)

For some reason they really really don’t want us to look to our own…

This morning the BBC webshite is running a story about own quality life expectancy has gone down.
As usual, the BBC carefully selects what is to be said and what is to be unsaid.
For instance, expectancy started going down when covid hit. Unsurprising. And is still going down.

The key reasons seem to be poverty, increasing obesity, and underfunding the NHS. According to the BBC.
They show a map, area by area, but somehow fail to notice that expectancy is low in places like Birmingham, Leicester, Luton, and various London boroughs. Now I wonder what the link might be? The BBC don’t care to answer.
It’s all down to those nasty middle class in the leafy suburbs and rural idylls such as the Chilterns or North Yorkshire. How dare they have the temerity to look after themselves? How dare they have the temerity to keep themselves fit, exercise, and not overeat on the double cheeseburgers and ghee laced curries?
Darwinian evolution is happening before our eyes and the Far Left hate it. Time for more taxes and wealth redistribution.

    Democracy in a Communist state.

So the EU just approved Chat Control 1.0

Despite a MAJORITY of the elected politicians voting AGAINST it.

    314 voted no.
    276 voted yes.

Because this vote was forced just before summer vacation, many politicians weren’t there to vote.

And without an absolute majority of 361 no votes, the chat control passed by default.

    And guess what?

The EU parliament already voted NO to this in March.

Yet another vote was forced now just before summer vacation and this time it passed because not enough MEPs was there to vote no this time.

    This doesn’t sound democratic.

When the supreme leader is chosen by the elite behind closed doors and then MP’s simply get to approve the choice, you know the ‘Democracy’ claim is completely fake.

‘Ordinary European citizens cannot vote for or against the Commission President’

‘The final candidate is chosen during private, late-night summits by the 27 heads of state (the European Council). This often leads to compromise candidates who were never mentioned during the election campaign’

‘The EU previously tried a “lead candidate” system (Spitzenkandidat), where the political group winning the most seats in the European Parliament would automatically see their leader become President. However, EU leaders frequently ignore this system when it suits them, selecting figures who did not even run for the post.’

So the conservative MP Kevin Hollinrake who lodged the complaint against Farage’s £5million is under investigation:

‘Rather than letting the independent investigation run its course, it is alleged he tried to lobby or influence the Commissioner’s decision-making process.’

Yet none of the MSM have reported it !.

‘Critics argue that because the BBC heavily scrutinized Nigel Farage’s funding, failing to report that his accuser is now under investigation for manipulating that very same inquiry creates a one-sided narrative.’

‘Since the initial case against Farage was halted due to his resignation, the only active storyline remaining is Hollinrake’s alleged misconduct. Omitting this leaves the public with an incomplete picture of the overall political dispute’

How many other stories like this are simply not reported because of the ‘establishment’ intent to destroy Reform ?.

    “Bernie | @Artemisfornow

    Dear Adam,

I have taken time to think about your apology. Mostly because, having made a mistake publicly before, I was keen to accept yours. It hurts when people don’t understand that you are sorry for messing up. I get that, probably more than most.

But here’s the thing… I’m not sure you understand what you did wrong. And so you don’t really understand what you are apologising for or why. With that in mind, I want to help you.

I didn’t know Ann, except as a powerhouse in politics and that so many people have spoken of her friendship and great loyalty. How lovely, I wish I had known her.

I am utterly disinterested in her sexual prowess or the state of her virginity. But I would have enjoyed hearing you speak of her great accomplishments. Not as a woman, but simply as a human being.

    Here’s a list.

She served in the House of Commons for 23 years and won five general elections.

She served as a government minister in Social Security, Employment and the Home Office, where she was Minister of State for Prisons.

She rose to become Shadow Health Secretary and then Shadow Home Secretary.

She was appointed to the Privy Council.

After leaving Westminster, she built an entirely new career as an author, broadcaster, documentary-maker, stage performer and television personality.

Then, at the age of 71, she returned to elected politics and became a Member of the European Parliament.

She was a longstanding advocate for Britain leaving the European Union and, when the political establishment failed to deliver the referendum result, she left the Conservative Party after more than 50 years and stood for the Brexit Party.

She was elected as an MEP and took the argument for British independence directly into the European Parliament.

She was also an unapologetic defender of free speech. She continued to speak openly on difficult and unfashionable subjects when others chose silence, it was easier to do that, she accepted the criticism and hostility that came with it rather than surrendering her convictions.

Her Catholic faith was central to her life. She converted to Catholicism, met Pope John Paul II in Rome and was later made a Dame of the Order of St Gregory the Great by Pope Benedict XVI for her service to politics and public life.

She remained a powerful public voice well into her late seventies, defending her beliefs despite decades of ridicule and hostility.

That is an extraordinary life of public service, courage and reinvention.

Yet, when asked to speak about her after her sudden and violent death, you chose to tell the country that she was a “spinster”, an “old maid” and a virgin. You discussed a failed relationship and suggested that afterwards she simply dedicated herself to other activities.

Do you understand the reduction involved in that?

You took the life of a highly accomplished woman and assessed it according to whether she had married, whether she had sex and whether a man had wanted her.

That is what was wrong. That is what you should have known.

It wasn’t simply that your words were poorly chosen or badly timed. It was the instinct to view a woman’s entire life through her relationship with men, even when her achievements should have rendered that completely irrelevant.

Nobody discussing the death of an accomplished male politician would think it necessary to tell viewers whether he was a virgin, speculate about his sex life or describe him as an ageing bachelor whose romance had failed.

I don’t want you cancelled. I don’t believe that people should be denied forgiveness when they make mistakes.

But a meaningful apology has to identify the actual wrong.

Ann was murdered after a lifetime of public service. At the moment her achievements should have been remembered, you diminished her to an unmarried woman who apparently hadn’t had sex.

She deserved better than that. And I’m still not sure you get it. But every woman who watched you speak of her and then read your apology does.

    Bernie.”

    “Adam Boulton | @adamboultonTABB
    AN APOLOGY
I was seriously wrong and insensitive in one of the several media appearances I made yesterday in reaction to the death of Ann Widdecombe. I got the timing and tone of my initial word portrait of her wrong.
Of course I shared, and share, the horror at her murder and the respect for her remarkable and feisty political career. I also know that many people loved her for her subsequent showbiz stardom. Her untimely death is a horrible thing.
My mistaken view was that in the context of rolling news coverage, I was being asked to contribute as an obituarist who has known her and interacted with her since the 1980s. This approach was premature. At no point was I expressing my personal feelings about her, that’s not what I do. I was discussing her life in the round, based on the record of known facts and what she has said about herself, along with some recollections of our personal interactions. My choice of words on the spur of the moment was clumsy. I did not intend to offend though obviously I did.”

By comparison, this rate is significantly higher than doctors and dentists (14.4%) but lower than unregistered care workers (31.9%). The primary causes are high-stress environments, long hours, irregular shift work, and limited access to healthy food.

The UK is considered one of the world’s oldest democracies because of its gradual, centuries-long transition from absolute monarchy to a constitutional system. This deep-rooted parliamentary history developed through several key milestones:The Magna Carta (1215): Established the principle that everyone, including the monarch, is subject to the law.Model Parliament (1295): Created the first truly representative assembly, laying the foundation for modern legislative bodies.English Civil War & Bill of Rights (1689): Stripped the monarchy of absolute power and established the supremacy of Parliament.Expansion of the Franchise (1832–1928): A series of Reform Acts slowly transformed the system from an aristocratic oligarchy into a modern democracy with universal suffrage.

I don’t want to be too conspiratorial but Rotherham, that’s an interesting place isn’t it? It’s a very long way from Devon which has to rule out burglary surely? What other motivation could there be? Whoever’s done it, if from Rotherham , must have been highly motivated to drive that far to steal a bit of money or a few knickknacks from an elderly lady. Henry Nowak told his killer “I’m not a racist” in the moments before he died on a street in Southampton, court documents show.

Residents in the street told police that they heard a male voice say the words after men were heard arguing loudly.

Digwa, 23, was jailed for life with a minimum term of 21 years after killing Mr Nowak, 18, a university student who was walking home alone after a night out with friends in Southampton on Dec 3.

Previously released video of Mr Nowak in handcuffs, saying “I can’t breathe” caused an outcry and led to violent disorder in Southampton.

Andrew Mortimore and his wife Fiona, who had lived on the street for years, said they heard shouting and male voices “arguing loudly” shortly before 11.30pm, according to the documents first disclosed by The Sunday Times.

Mr Mortimore got out of bed to look out of the window. He told the court: “During the time I was observing these people outside the block of flats, I think I heard a male voice say, ‘I’m not racist’. I couldn’t hear anything else that was being said. These are the only actual words I think I heard.”

Nicholas Lobbenberg KC, who prosecuted Digwa, told the jury: “Even as Henry is dying he said ‘I’m not a racist’… That was heard by Andrew Mortimore, one of the witnesses that was read to you, and as he lay dying, Henry denied that he was the attacker.”
The prosecutor also told the court that Digwa’s brother, Gurpreet, 27, called 999 at the scene and claimed: “He’s verbally attacked my brother racially,” to which Mr Nowak can be heard pleading in the background: “No, I didn’t.”

Another resident, Sean Baldock, told the court he heard “some shouting, it sounded like a foreign language”, and that the shouting started to get “more and more extreme”.

“After about two or three minutes I went to the window as it was getting worse and the tone was getting scary,” Mr Baldock told the court in his written statement. “I felt scared. The tone gave me a pit in my stomach. It was really, really aggressive like a carnal, animalistic tone.”

He later heard someone shout: “This white guy racially attacked us,” and “You’re not getting away, big man.” They also shouted: “I’m going to slash you,” or “I am going to smash you”.

Mr Baldock then heard a man he suspected was the victim say: “I am going to die. I am going to die,” before someone said back to him: “You’re not going to die, you’re fine”.

Mr Nowak’s former girlfriend rejected claims that he was racist. The woman, who is of Jamaican and Irish descent, told the court her ethnicity had “never been an issue” in their relationship, adding: “In fact, Henry was very proud of my heritage.”

Digwa was arrested the day after the attack before being taken to court for a custody extension the day after that, on Dec 5. The police van in which he was transported with his brother Gurpreet had been secretly bugged.

The court heard that Gurpreet asked his brother: “What did you do? Did you do anything?” Digwa replied “Yes”, and proceeded to point to the various parts of his body where he had stabbed Nowak. This account differed from that which Digwa had given police in his written statement.
Gurpreet told him: “You should have hit him or beaten him up”, before asking “Why did you use the kirpan?” Digwa replied: “I am a fool. I’m an idiot.”

Seconds later, Digwa asked his brother whether there were “any cameras there” at the scene before he quickly added: “If there is one, can’t say anything.”

Two police officers, who were the first to arrive on the scene, are being investigated by the Independent Office of Police Conduct (IOPC) for potential gross misconduct.

The police, in reference to Ann Widdecombe’s murder, immediately announced this was not terrorism and that there was nothing to suggest it was politically motivated…but they have an open mind as to the motive.

Hmmm…given they got the wrong man in the first place when they made these statements how can they possibly say? The BBC though is entirely convinced…

‘Police say no suggestion of political motive in Widdecombe killing after new arrest’

Except of course that’s not entirely true…at present there may be no evidence but that doesn’t mean it’s not the case that this was ‘political’.

Of course the likes of the BBC are desperate to dismiss any suggestion that a Reform politician might be targeted for their politics…they love it when a Lefty gets attacked by a Rightwinger because then they can launch into their self-serving narrative about the Far-Right and social media…a Rightwinger gets attacked and there’s a distinct lack of interest and they would look to blame the victim in someway….and such an attack would also make it more understandable why Farage was given £5m which he says is to provide him with security which his critics would hate.

The likelihood is that it was some thieving toerag who got caught in the act and lashed out but it’s interesting to watch the rats come running out and revealing themselves for what they really are.

In fairness, they did at least recognise that the victims had been stabbed unlike, say, in the case of Henry Novak (“I’ve been stabbed” “I don’t think you have, mate”). But perhaps this ability to selectively recognise stabbings is itself a manifestation of two tier policing.

He’s absolutely right. It started off where they didn’t say she was murdered. Then they very quickly arrested a white man. Who was then released and a different white man arrested.

So they knew plenty from the start and have blatantly told us they are not going to tell us anything because it will prejudice a trial and we should stop speculating on social media.

It stinks to high heaven of something being covered up. And with Two-Tier at the helm, that always anti-Right political interference.

I bet you 50p the police are being ‘advised’ what to say directly from the home office.

      The BBC in lockstep.

Out here in spectator land the likeliest scenario is long grass, “reports” yada, yada – I hope that’s not the case but fear it will be – and while the plods and their mates plod – the absence of transparency and the pompous posture adopted by “statement givers” only serves to rile people.

The information / news management of the killing of Ann Widdecombe must be really giving their state a headache .

Will they use the ‘mental ‘ cover to avoid naming the killer or taking the case to court . It seems the most likely .

The longer details are with held the more ‘unpalatable ‘ the truth will be . An Islamic convert ? A queer ? A green loon ?
If they couldn’t get to more senior reformers ( mp s ) have that researched and targeted a weaker easier target …?

I can understand – to a certain extent – the need for the alleged murderer not having speculation cast against him, but surely, a real judge, a real policeman, and a real officer of the legal profession can see that tempers are running high, and any signs of someone bludging their way out of the conundrum is being seen by most normal people as a sign of obfuscation.

I guess the BlueSky people are wetting their knicks about all this – the hatred from some posts today has been abhorrent. It seems to be the place to go for such bile.
