That’s curious…Jason Arday…yesterday the top two stories in the world according to the BBC…has vanished from the frontpage and indeed from the UK page unless you scroll way on down to the feed area….where he’s yesterday’s news.
Has the BBC suddenly had a moment of reflection and recognised that they could be accused of spinning a total lie about what happened? Maybe…oh…maybe not.
This morning on the religious programme ‘Sunday’ they for some reason gave us a sermon on how to treat black people….clearly they just wanted to frame the story in a way that shapes the narrative so that Arday was an innocent abroad victim to a sinister and concerted campaign that is being run against Black people in this country. There is a toxic disease of humiliation aimed at the likes of Arday who was hounded in a witch hunt..he was lynched.
We cannot have justice without compassion and mercy…if all of our sins were known who could stand up to criticise others? We must not judge people by their worst moments.
An abysmal bit of gaslighting from the BBC that they’d never ever run for Farage or Tommy Robinson or Trump or Boris Johnson…or anyone of the Right…they’d be legitimate targets for the most intense vilification and lies…more often than not from the BBC itself.

None of the deaths that they mention in the article were as a result of speed of a cycle.
1) Jason clipped his pedal on the cycleway kerb and fell into the path of an oncoming bus travelling on the busway right beside the path. There was no protective barrier between the busway and path. Yours truely had previously campaigned for a small hedge which existed on the other side of the path.
2) Then there was the pedestrian in the same spot who was run over by a bus during convid. How she got onto the busway remains a mystery. Was she picking blackberries or was she a suicide case?
3) North of Cranebridge there was a distressed old lady who missed her stop. The kindly bus driver let her off the bus between stops. Confused and in the darkness she wandered off the path and onto the busway and was run over by a bus and killed.
So Cranebridgeshire CC spent roughly this amount of money:
£0.6M in pre-action HSE legal fees
£0.6M in HSE legal action
£1M in HSE H&S fine
£12M installing a steel fence
£1M painting lines and installing signs
There are problems with the cycleway:
1) Electric motorcycles – especially delivery 20 mph+
2) No protective barrier against the busway (now done badly by an expensive steel fence that brings other safety problems)
3) Poor sightlines at chicanes and junctions
So at vast expense the Clowncil is solving the wrong problem. They are blaming the wrong people as a distraction exercise. Most cyclists are unable to sustain more than 15 mph on a flat road.

He asks is it in the public interest? Very definitely…if his appointment got massive media coverage, which he enjoyed and lapped up, then the other side of that is that when there’s something wrong that is discovered then it will also get huge coverage for a DEI ‘poster boy’.
He says it was just bullying and racism….and way too excessive attention…no…if anything his appointment might be considered racist by those passed over for the post…and it was not bullying just appropriate investigation and reporting….by many…just not the BBC which decided to ignore the story pretty much completely.

This morning I watched the European Athletics marathon races on the BBC. 8 x 5 km laps around the roads of central Birmingham.
But forget the race. Think ROADS,
Because all those camera shots at street and helicopter level stood as testament to the appalling state of our roads, underfunded for years while successive government eco-zealots prioritised cycle lanes and the like.
The unending patchwork of holes dug in the road by the utility companies. By implication, the appalling state of our utilities.
I’ve driven in a lot of countries. Nowhere do you see so many road patches, even in places like India. We are sub third world.
Then of course there are the potholes. Some marked out for repair but clearly not in time for a prestigious event. And then there are all the white road markings, un repainted for years and making it very difficult to know which lane you are supposed to be in. Not such an issue I noticed with bright double yellow lines making sure no-one can park anywhere.
Given that these races are a showcase for our country, if I was an investor from overseas and saw the state of the place, I’d invest elsewhere.
We residents and taxpayers meanwhile have to put up with this dross while our taxes go down the drain on the NHS, immigration, the unreformed benefits system, and other things.
