The guberment have announced the end of a scheme:

28 illegal migrants in (in small boats that they tell us about)
1 illegal migrant out back to France
1 additional illegal migrant into UK from France

That is just the small boat invaders that they tell us about. Never mind the lorries, the fake-students, anychess workers, care-hone staff and all the other routes.

These people are Oxbridge geniuses who negotiate our deals. They have even been on Mastermind.

The scheme was not run wholly in-house. Policy, case decisions, and the treaty side sat with the Home Office. Detention, escorting, and much of the transport were delivered through the department’s existing contracted returns system.

Very safe to assume that early contract exit or non-renewal triggered substantial settlements with contractors.

Few of those contractors are actually visible but Mitie Care and Custody ( runs to 30 April 2028. Whole-life value on the award notice is £514,206,657) and CWT UK Group Ltd (Carlson Wagonlit Travel), now part of American Express Global Business Travel (over £25,000 for January–June 2026 records about £21.2 million paid to CWT UK Group Ltd)

      – just two well known major players in the field…

      elsewhere…

The Boeing (EC-MTV) is owned and operated by AlbaStar, a Spanish airline which has a contract with the UK Home Office to fly illegal migrants back to France under the ‘one in, one out’ deal.
