Channel 4 to be privatised by 2024 – next stop The BBC …. We are getting there…

The appointment of Lord Grade of Yarmouth as chairman of OFCOM appears to have passed its final phase – being quizzed by the parliamentary culture committee – so it is only a matter of time before the post is confirmed ( for 3 years ). Let’s hope Lord Grade prepares for massive change at the BBC in the run up to the end of the current Charter- namely the end of compulsory public funding .

Lord Michael Grade of Yarmouth is being nominated as the new Chair of BBCOFCOM . Does that mean it will be less of a ‘friend ‘ to the BBC and adopt a more challenging approach to its’ bias ?
Or will it be same old same old ?

Happy Budget Day – ( or whatever it is called now ) . Whatever the outcome not enough taxpayers’ borrowed money will be spent on this or that . .. shake that money tree ..
