I was looking at the BBC’s coverage of the US Presidential race and was ..ahem..surprised to see no coverage of the latest poll in the States giving McCain a 5 point lead over the Chosen One. It seems that’s what Russia is doing- taking delight in the cluelessness of our “national” broadcaster. The BBC’s Helen Fawkes reports, apparently sans body armour, of a prisoner swap in Georgia. 15 Georgians are handed over in exchange for five Russians. . I see the BBC delights in telling us that Israel is concerned about the number of violent attacks happening in Judea/Samaria (or “West Bank” in BBC talk). The attacks flagged up are being carried out by Jewish settlers. I was interested in the BBC headline “Brady attacks prison conditions.” The article articulates the concerns of child-killer Ian Brady who his complained of his treatment at Ashworth High Security Hospital, where he has been held since 1985. I see the BBC uncritically reports the suggestion from the health Nazi’s in local government that they be granted the power to take overweight children from their parental homes – if deemed necessary.
