Radio 4 Extra repeated an Archive on 4 from 2013, Collar The Lot in which Tom Conti describes the internment of Italian men living in the UK at the start of WW2.

With hindsight this was clearly ‘a bad thing’ and ‘lessons should be learned’.

The lesson was that government shouldn’t rush into things and should take a more considered approach.

Just back from my basement time machine after a trip to 2094 where the BBC is runnng a programe called Vaccinate The Lot, about Covid-19, which turned out to have been ‘a bad thing’ and that ‘lessons should be learned’, i.e. governments should take a more considered approach and not rush into things.

After a few days in hospital last week, its nice to catch up on here and get a real perspective of the news I’ve missed.

I understand a few people drowned in the Channel. From what I saw on the tv, one of the ‘missing’ was a very attractive Iraqi lady, of whom photos and video film was shown at her wedding and living in quite luxurious circumstances.

So, the media clearly knew who this lady was – yet we’re told that ID’s are thrown away (!), also this lady didn’t appear to be repressed judging by her heavily made up face and her clearly wealthy family that spoke on camera. So why in hell’s name was she floating across the Channel to come to the UK ????

Ahmadis suffer vicious persecution around the world. The main source of fuel for that persecution is in Pakistan, but what happens in Pakistan does not stay in Pakistan.

I know that from my experience in the Yorkshire market town of Batley. In August 1985, when I was 11 years old, my parents organised an inter-faith meeting in the town hall. It was interrupted and disturbed when, according to West Yorkshire police, more than 1,000 extremists, led by Pakistani hate preachers funded by the Pakistani state, were bused in from around the country. The mob brutally attacked my English mother and my father, a dermatologist; my eldest brother and I; and a Welsh Ahmadi schoolteacher who was with us. My first cousin, a GP, was by chance driving through the market town that day. He saw the mob and saw his family and friends being attacked, so he stopped. He was recognised, pulled from his vehicle and savagely beaten up.

That this House notes that soft loans and payments amounting to 258 million euros over the last five years were paid by the EU to the BBC; believes that such payments compromise the independence and objectivity of the BBC on EU issues; further notes that the BBC benefited by a cash-equivalent of approximately 39 million euros which is made up of 20.4 million actual saved interest on loan facilities of 240 million, 2.5 million in grants, 14.6 million to BBC World and 1.7 million euros in indirect payments; further notes that there are, in addition, undisclosed sums in respect of joint projects; further believes that these substantial benefits may offend against the BBC’s Royal Charter, which demands independence, and also its editorial guidelines which state that the BBC should not `accept funds from any organisation whose interests or actions could raise doubts about the objectivity of programming’; and cites, as continuing evidence of BBC bias in its coverage of EU affairs, the BBC’s refusal to broadcast coverage of the National Pro-Referendum Rally at Westminster on 27th October 2007; therefore calls on the Government to establish an independent inquiry into EU funding of the BBC and its impact on the BBC’s objectivity on European matters and current debate over a referendum on the EU Constitution; and congratulates the Campaign for an Independent Britain for its initiative in uncovering this information.

I wonder if the channel smugglers operate past the X-channel trip and extract money and “favours” from their victims after they’ve arrived in the UK? – a trail that goes back to gangsters in the country of origin. I have seen this in operation in several countries where lots of low wage slaves have been imported.

The BBC was always very concerned about Trump’s popularity and always found time and space to tell us how badly he was doing in the polls and how the insiders in the White House thought he was just terrible.

Not so with Biden….both Biden and Harris see their ratings in the polls plunge and there’s dissent in the camp as even CNN reports but the BBC seems to always dodge…

‘Worn out by what they see as entrenched dysfunction and lack of focus, key West Wing aides have largely thrown up their hands at Vice President Kamala Harris and her staff — deciding there simply isn’t time to deal with them right now, especially at a moment when President Joe Biden faces quickly multiplying legislative and political concerns.

Many in the vice president’s circle fume that she’s not being adequately prepared or positioned, and instead is being sidelined.

Few of the insiders who spoke with CNN think she’s being well-prepared for whichever role it will be. Harris is struggling with a rocky relationship with some parts of the White House, while long-time supporters feel abandoned and see no coherent public sense of what she’s done or been trying to do as vice president.

She’s perceived to be in such a weak position that top Democrats in and outside of Washington have begun to speculate privately, asking each other why the White House has allowed her to become so hobbled in the public consciousness, at least as they see it. ‘

    https://edition.cnn.com/2021/11/14/politics/kamala-harris-frustrating-start-vice-president/index.html

It’s so serious that CNN reports plots to dump her in the Supreme Court so Biden can appoint another Vice-President who will then be able to run for President.

Can you imagine the BBC not running lurid headlines on such a story about Trump’s administration?

The BBC once again stage-managing the news to protect the Democrats…speaking of which….corrupt Democrats under fire when caught out….

Reference is made to the smartly turned out young woman who has been named as a casualty last week. The BBC hanky box is in full use.

But wait. She was coming to the UK to see her fiancé.

Questions not asked by the BBC include.
    1. Was her fiancé here legally
    2. Since she was well turned out and had the money for the inflatable cross channel ferry then why didn’t she just fly in on an ordinary airline to see him?

It’s not difficult is it? Except for the BBC who have a narrative to maintain.
