    The Thirwall enquiry has identified many gross failings by the NHS regarding baby care associated with the Lucy Letby case.

    I have been given privileged access to the NHS response.

    1. A fulsome apology
    2. Acceptance of the findings
    3. Appoint various committees
    4. Kick the whole thing into the long grass
    5. Circle the wagons
    6. Ensure no disciplinary action
    7. Take almost no action.
    8. Pull the wool over the public’s eyes
    9. Get some friendly Labour MPs to remind everyone how marvellous the NHS is.
    10. Forget the whole thing and carry on as before

      From the 1970s to the early 1990s, tens of thousands of people were infected with hepatitis B, hepatitis C and HIV as a result of receiving infected blood or infected clotting factor products in the United Kingdom.[2] Many of the products were imported from the United States, and distributed to patients by the National Health Service.[3][4] Most recipients had haemophilia or had received a blood transfusion following childbirth or surgery.[5] More than 30,000 patients are estimated to have received contaminated blood, resulting in thousands of deaths.
