I Missed …

… the first two of the series of Radio 4 party political broadcasts on behalf of the (admittedly substantial) bleeding heart wing of the Labour Party by Helena Kennedy, but did manage to catch the third. Helena Kennedy QC examines the ways in which the best intentions in legal reform can sometimes produce unexpected and unpalatable consequences. Helena looks at the development of alternative systems of justice that bypass the … Continue reading

SYNCHRONICITY…

All so contrived. Over there the BBC glowingly reports Obama’s lecture to the US Financial Institutions the punchline being “they” have not learned the lessons of the mistakes “they” made which caused the financial meltdown. Meanwhile, over here, the BBC reports the left wing IPPR taking the same line. They even given McDoom a chance to weigh in with his bellicose warning that there is “unfinished business” with the banks. … Continue reading

HEROIN CHIC

The BBC’s attitude towards illegal drugs is always suspect and thus when we read this story – which claims that if the State funds heroin addicts habits this then leads to a drop in the crime they carry out-it is right to be suspicious that we are being retailed a political line. I suppose the BBC quite ikes the idea that the British taxpayer funds heroin junkies, and sees no … Continue reading

CELEBRATE!

My thanks to reader Gigits for bringing this celebration of shoe-throwing to my attention. Any chance to bash Bush, eh? It strikes me that along with Lady Thatcher, GWB is the BBC’s most hated person. Click through to read and contribute comments on this post.

DOBBO ON NEWSNIGHT

Anyone catch Frank Dobson bullying his way through a “discussion” on Newsnight? He constantly repeated the NuLabour fantasy that “the bankers” were exclusively to blame for the financial recession. Peston then did a piece claiming the recession was now effectively over in parts of the world such as Japan, and his punchline was that the failure (of Bush) to “save” Lehmans was a prime component in the seismic changes that … Continue reading

OBAMA AND THE BANKERS…

Glowing report here from the BBC concerning Obama’s speech to the US Financial institutions. The Lightworker declares that “We will not go back to the days of reckless behaviour and unchecked excess at the heart of this crisis.” Obama’s big plan is to intrude further into the private sector and seek to control it more. Based on this BBC report, everyone agrees with him which begs the questions as to … Continue reading

THE MINUTE YOU WALKED IN THE JOINT……..

Anyone catch Lord Mandelson ducking and diving with Jim Naughtie on Today this morning? The big lie being perpetuated this morning was that Labour would “spend wisely” whereas the evil Conservatives would…gasp…CUT vital public services! (The sort that Comrade Barber was on earlier to defend) In fairness to Jim, he tried to get Mandy to say “cuts” when it came to Labour plans but the adroit Lord Rio avoided the … Continue reading

THE BBC GO TO WASHINGTON – BUT MISS THE STORY!

Predictable. Have you read the BBC’s coverage of the huge rally of Americans in DC unhappy at The One and his Obamacare plans? It starts by telling us that there were “tens of thousands” of people there (underplay) before then hailing the fact that the Lightworker addressed a crowd of 15,000 adoring supporters. The MSM has been caught out by the scale of the protest and there is a clear … Continue reading

TALKING IN THE DARK…

Comrade Barber of the TUC has his ludicrous economic assessment carried by the BBC here. The odd thing is that Barber gets space for his contention that it would be madness to deal with the burgeoning public sector debt by..erm.. cutting it. McDoom gets space to say all is well. Vince Cable even gets space to have his have it all ways say…but, I think ONE party is all but … Continue reading

B-BBC COMMENTING…UPDATE

I wanted to thank you all for your feedback and update you on where things are going. It is obvious to me that the blogger commenting system is limited and I want to be able to do three things here for you; 1. Ensure good and instant communications2. Keep trolls away if they are becoming disruptive3. Make this site better all the time Thanks to my good friend, The All … Continue reading
