BBC BEATEN IN LIBYA

BBC breaking news. A BBC Arabic team was arrested in Libya, taken into captivity, and beaten badly by pro-Ghadaffi supporters. Jeremy Bowen has spoken to them. Accusations of torture and the rest.  BBC reports the news and now makes itself the lead story on the news.

The only time the BBC gets behind Cameron is when Nanny State comes out to play and in this case seeks to remove tobacco products from visual display. When the Coalition continues the socialist engineering agenda of banning and price hiking then it is guaranteed a good press from the State Broadcaster.

Katie Connolly Tells A Lie About Her Beloved Obamessiah

Accompanying a news brief on the BBC website about Prime Minster Julia Gillard of Australia’s first trip to the US to meet with the President is an “analysis” inset from JournoList groupie Katie Connolly. She discusses the recent history of personal relationships (it seems like the Beeboids are much happier with this union of two leaders than when Bush was in charge, but never mind) between Australia and US leaders, and says this:

Kevin Rudd and Barack Obama – both cerebral centrists with a deep interest in world affairs – were said to have a strong personal rapport.

A centrist? This is a blatant, biased lie. Nobody honest can say that the President is or ever was a centrist. A reminder of Candidate Obamessiah:

“I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.” (at 4:41 in)

These are not the words of a centrist. The same Candidate also told ACORN that the group would shape His agenda, This is not the behavior of a centrist.

A centrist candidate would not join in the SEIU chant and celebrate union power. That’s from the Left. The President’s very close ties to SEIU and union powerbrokers is not the behavior of a centrist. Unless we’re supposed to believe now that Ed Miliband and Ed Balls are centrist?

Back when He was a State Senator in Illinois, He complained openly that the Supreme Court didn’t advocate wealth redistribution:

“Maybe I’m showing my bias here as a legislator as well as a law professor. But, I’m not optimistic about bringing major redistributive change through the courts. The institution just isn’t structured that way.”

These are not the words of a centrist.

Anita Dunn, a top campaign adviser and White House Communications Director Anita Dunn stated openly that her favorite political philosophers were Mao Tse-Tung and Mother Theresa. A centrist would never have such a far-Left ideologue in His inner circle.

As President, He hasn’t governed as a centrist. Far from it, in fact. Nationalized health care – “ObamaCare” – is not a centrist idea: it’s a Socialist concept. It may be mainstream in Britain and Europe, but it’s an idea of the Left.

His “cap-and-trade” policy of favoring corporations who engage in approved behavior is known as “corporatism”, which is a fixture of Socialist governing. The way the President has attacked Republicans for the past two years is not the behavior of a centrist.

I could go on and on, but suffice to say that Katie Connolly has no credibility as an honest newsbroker. Don’t trust her, and don’t trust the BBC on US issues.

COAL BLACK

Richard Black, again, I’m afraid….today he’s in propaganda overdrive about the US, those nasty republicans won’t allow CO2-curbing measures to be passed, and they are even daring to challenge the idea that those mercury-filled greenie light bulbs should be foisted upon us all. Most of all, though, he’s praising that democratic paradise called China. The reason? Well China, unlike the US, is going to join the EU in curbing emissions. For Richard, that’s enough for sainthood and a big plug on his blog, no matter how repugnant the regime.

But, er, Mr Black, have you not heard of propaganda, and divide and rule, and all the other treacherous techniques used by every despotic regime since Darius? No, of course, not. Those who follow the green creed are virtuous choose what. Four legs bad, two legs good.

For the record, Mr Black, China’s goals are simple. They want economic expansion and total domination of the west. They are well towards achieving what they want and the crippling EU green bureaucracy is assisting them by pushing up the West’s Labour costs and strangling innovation. And as for green promises, they aren’t worth a straw. A few minutes’ digging shows that China consumed 3bn tons of coal in 2009 and is easily the world’s biggest gobbler of the fuel, accounting for almost 50%. It has no intention of stopping anytime soon, despite its rhetoric. For greenies, though, that’s immaterial – they say they are going to do something and that’s enough. The US, by contrast, consumes just 14%.

The green creed’s obsession with CO2 is a dangerous and mindless, but economy-crippling, obsession. And Mr Black is pursuing it with every sinew.

LABOUR "TOO TOUGH" ON CRIME?

ONLY on the BBC would we catch a discussion on whether Labour was “too tough” on crime (!!!) yet THAT is exactly what was foisted upon us earlier today. In order to provide that balance for which the BBC is so famed, only a Labour spokesman was interviewed. In this case it was that charmer Sadiq Khan. One dimension, revisionist and floating in BBC bias.

FROZEN LIES

The BBC really are first class propagandists for AGW. Did you know that BOTH Poles are melting fast? Yes, it must be true because the BBC says it is true here  I am advised by one of our readers that this falsity has been brought to the attention of Chris Huhne who has said he is “powerless” to do anything about it. Perhaps that is because he is himself a swivel-eyed advocate of the global warming gospel?

Evolution Matters

“An imam has retracted statements about evolution and the right of Muslim women not to cover their hair after death threats were made against him”, says the BBC.
Compare the BBC’s treatment of the story about the fatwas and death threats Usama Hasan was subjected to with the article over at Harry’s Place, where there’s a cross post from The Spittoon. From the choice of illustration used in the BBC’s article I almost sense mild amusement. Others take the subject very seriously.

The threats emanate from what they call ‘A Pair of White Muslim Extremists.’
A quote from a comment concerns the BBC.

“I remember listening to a white convert to Islam on the BBC Asian Network […..]And he was saying that all the Hindu and Sikh listeners would end up in hell with horrendous tortures if they did not convert to Islam.[…..]even when the National Front were at their peak, a white man could not get away with such blind hatred for Asians on the BBC like that. But in the name of religion, you can spout a lot of vicious hate, especially if you are a white convert who will scream ‘Islamophobia’ if you so much as call them out for their bigotry.”
